How much is the fine per day for an overdue book?

The Hamden library is no longer assessing overdue fines, but long overdue items will be charged a replacement fee. The fees will will cleared once the materials are returned or paid for. Please be aware that the library cannot refund payment for lost books if they are later found and returned. Be sure that books are truly lost before making an online payment! There are some libraries in our consortium that are still charging late fines. If the book you borrowed is from one of those libraries you might be assessed a fine if it is returned past the due date.
